yes well the worst season of homeland is still better than the best season of most other shows.
Who really loved Carrie was Nicholas because see them in S1E7 & S2E12.... When a woman tells about her problems, it means she trusts you;
I love season 6 a lot because of the stellar job Rupert Friend does as damaged Quinn, conveying his anguish. The monkey scene is jarring, and the way Quinn tries to remember some words but fails makes me feel his frustration for real.
Season 6 was very subtle as opposed to previous seasons, which is why I liked it. It seemed to be one of the most realistic seasons so far (the fake news with the bot room was spot on 2016). I really enjoyed the character arc of Quinn, and his end was one that was perfect in my opinion. That being said, it is very different than previous seasons so I can understand not enjoying it similarly to them. I’d recommend treating each season separately, but in the same timeline.
One of the worst parts of season 6 was turning Dar Adal into a villain.
That's a great line: "President's don't get chances, they get tested."
There are Six Forts and Colossals that make this show even more relevant during 2017:
American elections;
Change in power;
Crisis with Iran;
Geopolitical changes;
Prejudices and persecutions;
Hate Campaign.
- That's why this TV show is amazing in the way it walks, sometimes slow, sometimes fast and always with a lot of base.
Rupert Friend deserves an award for his performance this season. He is also saving the show after Damian. It didn't completely fall apart because of him either - Aside from Mandy and Claire's acting.
- I believe that Homeland developed well after season 3 - already at other points, it leaves holes after holes, with totally inexplicable situations - which had the weakest script of the eight seasons. That's why many place Season 3 as the least developed - it's not because of the departure of you-know-who.
NOW... I understand they tried to bring to the show all the recent developments in American politics. But, ironically, by trying to connect to facts in the real world, the whole plot became much more implausible.
Season 6 is... something.:
The top secret building, run by a shady organization that somehow can keep all under the radar at the same time it interviews dozens of former intelligence officers. Bonus for the bunch of stereotypical nerds monitoring people by watching a screen full of social media pop-ups. And don't remind me that scene of Max saving the day...
Dar Adal going crazy. I think they simply destroyed a complex character turning him into a classical villain. Dar was the hawkish officer who would not play by the book to protect the country. Never it was hinted he could plan a terrorist attack in American soil or order the killing of a federal agent.
Why on Earth was that van conveniently parked in that house?
Overall, the atmosphere feels very different from the rest of the series.
The only part I enjoyed was the very ending, where it was hinted that president Keane would became vengeful against the intelligence community once she got in power. I'm glad they explored that plot further in season 7 (one of the best in my opinion).
In your opinion why is season six so interesting to be nominated as best drama?
