The end of Carrie Mathison's story was not really a closure. It was just the last chapter that we had a chance to see. His journey will continue as long as there is an enemy (he is currently with the GRU spy, Yevgeny Gromov, to spy on Putin's Russia as Saul's new resource).

The show never had a romance as colossal as it was true, which would forever mark the lives of Carrie and Brody, and which would end up being both the salvation of Brody and the loss of the only man Carrie truly loved.

And its conclusion is like a punch in the stomach. A punch that you saw coming a long time ago, and you still had time to prepare for the impact, but the effort was in vain. The weight was felt. And even with all the mistakes and morally dubious actions, that star drawn by Carrie still hurts.

She may be the happiest (living in danger) we have ever seen, even though she is a prisoner of war - the irony of this is enormous when she is sitting there listening to jazz and knows that she cannot return to her country, where she is seen as an outcast and a traitor ... she likes Yevgeny, now she will never really love him like Brody did, and she nevertheless uses this GRU agent to benefit her country as a true patriot. kkkk
